Our Story
Welcome!
The story of our property starts in 2011, when Christina and Majid (natives of Ireland and Iran, respectively), purchased land in rural Ibiza with the desire to connect with nature and the spirit of the island. Joshua (Christina’s son) and his partner Alba - that’s us! - quickly joined in, and today are the guardians of Can Cuqueta.
The experience we’ve created for guests here is born from our decades-plus experience in taking care of people - Joshua as a captain, sailing across the world, and Alba as a flight attendant, event organiser, and charter & concierge agency CEO.
From our first moments at Can Cuqueta, we’ve focused on working with nature’s principles (rather than trying to bend nature to our will). We’re proud to say that it’s informed every and every decision, from the placement of each villa down to the products we place in our bathrooms.
Our homes have been crafted with love, sustainable principles, and a deep appreciation and respect for nature, and we’re thrilled to be able to invite guests to walk in that world with us.
